Fabulous Ensembles for Women at Any Age

Fabulous Ensembles WomenGetting older does not mean that we cannot look hip and fabulous; with correct combinations between suitable clothing pieces, women at any age can look beautiful. The key is finding the correct way to combine each piece into an ensemble fit for women at 20’s, 30’s, even 60’s and older.

Here are some classic ensembles that look fabulous for women at any age; you can try to experiment with your own preferences that suit your styles and personalities better.

1. V-neck Top and Tailored Trousers
Naturally, a v-neck top makes a woman look taller and slimmer since it exposes much of the neck area. However, you may need to alter the neckline to make the top looks appropriate for each age. For example, deeper v-neckline may reveal more than you wish for if you are in your 40’s and older. Adding a camisole or mock neck top under the v-neck top are good ways to maintain modesty without erasing the benefit of v-neckline. Add a tailored trouser that fits well, and you will get hip ensembles to be worn at office or in casual occasions.

2. Pencil Skirts
A knee-length pencil skirt is a timeless clothing piece favored by women at any age. The skirt can be worn to the office, business meeting, or any formal occasions. A good pencil skirt should be fit well on the hips and waits, so some alterations may be needed if you cannot find a ready-to-wear pencil skirt that fits you well. Younger women can wear a tweed pencil skirt with a demure twin set for a retro “sexy secretary” look, while older women can pair a pencil skirt with a suit jacket for formal occasions.

3. Jeans and Jackets
For casual occasions, nothing can be more timeless than a good pair of jeans and jacket. They key is to wear the right jeans and jacket. Sequined jacket with t-shirt looks good on anyone, but mini skirt may be more suitable for younger women. A scarf can give a touch of sophistication to jacket, t-shirt, and jeans ensembles.

4. Long gowns and dresses
Long gowns and dresses are essential in women’s arsenals of clothing, but there are some factors that separate fabulous and skanky. For example, younger women can expose more skin by wearing a sleeveless gown or a dress with low neckline. Older women, on the other hand, may want to preserve more modesty by reducing the exposure of cleavage and covering up their shoulders or arms (a little bit if not much).
