Now in Angola rich deposits of diamonds, iron, gold, phosphates, magnesium, copper, lead, zinc, tin, tungsten, vanadium, the titan, , , quartz, plaster, marble, a granite and uranium are opened. The estimation of stocks of minerals is made concerning only insignificant part of a deposit.
Since achievement of independence activity of the mining industry was reduced to the limited extraction of diamonds in provinces of Lund Norte and Lund by Sul the country northeast and marble and granite extraction in provinces of Uila and Namib. In immediate prospects it is planned to provide substantial growth of extraction of diamonds and to adjust extraction of iron, gold, quartz and other minerals.
