Seven year experience of training of students has shown that the steady tendency to increase of quantity wishing is traced to get the given education, and, in particular, on a contract basis. Making use of experience of experts of chair in diagnostics, processing raw materials, the technique of preparation of engineers gemologist is developed and approved. In the course of training the student receives knowledge and skills on diagnostics precious, semiprecious and ornamental stones, to design of a natural stone, art processing of semi precious stones, a cost estimation of products and raw materials. There are first positive results of such preparation: during passage of an industrial practice with students gemologist of group RM 96 1 the new jewelry stone the cat s eye in the October alkaline file of block of the Ukrainian board is opened. This file is described in 1893 and in details studied on many kinds of minerals: Rare earth and, ceramic raw materials. However, as decorative raw materials its rocks properly were not considered.
