It has been widely recognized that Sarah Burton from Alexander McQueen’s house had an important role in the Royal Wedding, since she was the one who designed the royal bride’s wedding dress. Soon after the wedding there is no doubt that her name will become more famous in fashion industry.
However, we are not going to discuss about Burton in this article in spite of her great work, because there was another designer in the ceremony whose works had also captured many sights.
The man’s name is Philip Treacy. He might not design gowns or dresses, but without his works the fashion world will perhaps has less meaning, especially in the United Kingdom.
Treacy is actually an Irish born milliner or hats designer, many of his designs have been worn by people from the elite society, including the Royal Family. The Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Princess Michael of Kent, and Queen Anna-Marie of Greece, and Princess Mathilde of Belgium are among the high class costumers of Treacy.
His designs are very unique and mostly one of a kind, that women in the UK really love his works because they believe with hats or fascinators they will look more attractive and classy. From the very wide brims to the tiny small ones, decorated with ribbons, feathers, or flowers, Treacy can simply win the heart of his fans with his designs.
Treacy claims that headwears are the main accessories in fashion. He also said that the Royal Wedding was a very special moment he would never have wanted to miss. Prior to the wedding day, Treacy had been very busy fulfilling his clients’ demands. He had spent months to create hats and fascinators which worth more than £1,000 each. One of his hats, which was worn by Princess Beatrice, had even reached £11,000 bid in Ebay auction, according to Express.co.uk.
After the wedding, Treacy jokingly stated that he is going to take a break from work.
