Tips for Proper Shoes Fitting

Proper Shoes FittingBuying shoes is a necessity for some people, and a leisure activity for others. Whatever is that, buying the right-sized shoes are important, since shoes are things that we use in a long time. A mere short fitting session is not adequate to find the right-sized shoes; there are some rules that we should follow for proper shoes fitting.

1. Buy shoes in the evening
Our feet are swollen after enduring our full-day activities, so it is better to buy shoes in the evening or at least the late afternoon.

2. Try on both shoes
Do not just pick one shoe from the display rack and try it on. Instead, ask the clerk to get you its pair and try them both. Most people have a slight size variance from one foot to the other; the larger of the two will dictate which size you actually buy.

3. Stand-up for measurement
If you need your feet to be measured first, do the measurement while you are standing up to get the most correct dimension and angle.

4. Stand and walk
After you put on the shoes, stand and walk back and forth for a bit. Not just one or two short steps, but actual stepping like when you normally do.

5. Socks on
Bring the socks you usually wear and put them on with the shoes, to make sure that you will feel comfortable in wearing the shoes later.

6. Try various things
Do not stick to only one brand or style. Try various brands, styles and sizes at once to find the best and most comfortable shoes for your feet.

7. Ask for professional’s help
If you have trouble finding shoes that fit properly, visit a full-service shoe store, and have your feet professionally measured. A knowledgeable staff member may be able to recommend a specific style, brand or insert that will help accommodate your feet.

8. Try it, buy it
If you actually ending buying a pair of shoes, choose the actual pair you have tried on to be certain you are getting exactly what felt comfortable.

9. Is there enough space?
There should be just a bit of space between your heel and the heel of your shoe, which is not too tight or loose, and you must make sure that you can move your toes freely.
